FFMI calculator

Fat-free mass index — a height-normalized benchmark of how much muscle you carry, from your weight, height, and body fat.

FAQ

What is a good FFMI?

Roughly 18–20 is average, 20–22 is fit, 22–25 is very muscular, and a normalized FFMI much above ~25 is uncommon without exceptional genetics or enhancement. It's a benchmark, not a verdict.

What does 'normalized' mean?

Normalized FFMI adjusts the raw value to a standard 1.8 m height so taller and shorter people can be compared on the same scale.

Educational benchmark, not medical advice.
